Minutes of the 44th Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association. .
Date: 9 March 2026
Time: 5:00 PM
Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. .
The 44th meeting of the Association was held on 9 March 2026 at 5:00 PM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements and resolutions were presented before the members and approved by them.
1. Welcome Address : .
The Joint Secretary, Mr. K. Pandurangaiah, warmly welcomed all the honourary members to the 44th meeting of the Association.
2. Invitation onto the Dias: .
The Joint Secretary respectfully invited President Jayanth Kumar Garu and then all the Executive Committee members onto the dais.
3. Introduction of New Member: .
The President formally welcomed Mr. K Prasad Gar, who recently joined the Association in his absence..
4. Birthday Wishes for the Members Born in March: .
Members celebrating birthdays in February were felicitated with shawls and greeted:
o.- Sri Purushottam Rathore Garu -- 05/03/1939 -- 87th Birthday.
o.- Sri K. Suresh Garu -- 12/03/1950 -- 76th Birthday.
The following members could not attend the meeting, but the birthday wishes were conveyed to them and prayed for their long life and good health even in their absence:
o.- Sri J. Manohar Sharma Garu -- 12/03/1950 -- 76th Birthday.
o.- Sri B. Venkateswara Gupta Garu -- 13/03/1965 -- 61st Birthday.
o.- Sri P. Babu Rao Garu -- 13/03/1954 -- 72nd Birthday.
All the members greeted with applause, and prayed for their health and long life:
5. The 3rd Series -- 11th Chit Lucky Draw: .
The 11th chit draw was jointly conducted by Mr. G. Venkateswara Rao and Mr. Pandurangaiah.
Mr. P Shyam Kumar Garu won the lucky draw and the amount was handed over to the winner of lucky draw.
6. Acknowledgements and Thanks: .
The President expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of all members:
o.- The President thanked all members for attending the special meeting arranged on 17th February 2026
with the Project Officer and making the meeting successful.
o.- The President expressed his sincere thanks to Sri V. Venu Mohan Rao Garu and Sri G. Venkateswara Rao
Garu for their support in preparing the ID cards.
7. President Address: .
1. Association ID cards were issued to members who submitted their details, further he requested all
other members also to register with required details for ID cards.
2. The Association arranged a spiritual pilgrimage to Yadadri and Swarnagiri temples on 16 March 2026
based on members and deemed members request.
-Transport, breakfast, and meals, evening snacks and night tifin will be arranged.
-Interested members were informed to contribute ₹1000 per person.
-Members are requested to encourage deemed members.
-Darshan tickets and personal expenses should be borne individually.
-Members were requested to assemble by 6:30 AM at Senior Citizen Bhavan.
-The group is expected to return around 9:00 PM.
3. Guidelines for the Yadadri–Swarnagiri Pilgrimage.
A. As this is a spiritual and religious pilgrimage, all pilgrims should wear respectful traditional attire
while entering the temples and while having the divine darshan.
B. All pilgrims should bring the medicines they take regularly and remember to take them on time.
C. Each person is responsible for his or her own belongings. It is advised not to carry valuable items.
D. Since both temples are located on hilltops, walking on bare-foot on the hot rocks may be uncomfortable.
Therefore, wearing socks can be somewhat helpful.
E. Pilgrims are advised to bring suitable own socks.
F. Pilgrims should bear the expenses for pooja, darshan, prasadam, tickets, and their personal expenses.
G. If everyone follows proper time discipline, all the programs can be completed on time.
H. Members can have their entertainment program with sing a song, anthyakshari, jokes or any other
indoor activity which are possible in the moving bus.
8. Question Hour & Other Matters: .
Mr. J. C. Reddy Garu from Volton International, Wellness Coach, addressed the members and spoke about health, wellness program and benefits of Black Ginger (Kaempferia Parviflora).
9. Vote of Thanks: .
Mr. Pandurangaiah Garu Joint Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
10. Conclusion of meeting: .
The meeting was concluded with the National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana”.
